Mil's Latin American Cafe Food Truck in Orlando.

(orlandosfoodtruck.com) - Mil's Latin American Cafe Food Truck in Orlando is a truck that I have been passing coming home for about two months now. It is not out often, maybe two times a week - Friday and Sat - around 6 - 12 am on Oakridge and S. Rio Grande Ave.

Mil's is run by a delightfully lady, who cooks the food ready to order. She reminds me of going to your grandma's house on a Sunday and watching her in the kitchen throwing down, cooking a Great Home Made Meal. Mil's menu consist of Burgers, Hot dogs, Chicken fingers, Fries, Onion rings and a Variety of Latin Food made Fresh ready to order.

We got Two Bacon Chz Burgers, A Regular Burger.

Fries and an Empanada!

 

Great Price points....for all that I paid  about $15. 

The Bacon burger was juicy, flavorful...the bacon was not over cooked or under cooked and it was thick!

They have three different Empanada you can buy, I bought the empanada  stuffed full of meat and cheese...perfectly seasoned and perfectly melted.

I highly recommend this Truck! It has that homely feel many trucks are missing.

A Tongue Slapping, Tail Wagging Event
ORLANDO, FL – June 8, 2011:  The Doglando Foundation, Inc. will be hosting an animal rescue adopt-a-thon and food truck pod event on June 18, 2011 from 6:00pm-10:00pm in downtown Avalon Park.

Food Trucks to the Rescue will be an exciting event featuring local animal rescues along with local food trucks promoting animal welfare and good eats. The Bigdawg and Paul Show will be on hand to provide family friendly entertainment throughout the evening. By bringing these two popular groups together, Doglando Foundation, Inc. hopes to raise awareness of the local animal rescue groups.  Dogs and puppies will be available for adoption during this event..  This event is free and is open to the general public.

Know Before You Go 

This event can be tons of fun if you know what to expect before you arrive, so make sure you're prepped by reading this brief list of "hard facts."

1. Expect to wait in long lines. While the food is delicious, it does not come fast. Why? Its not fast food. These are restaurants on wheels. Plan to wait.

2. We (The Daily City) have no control over the speed at which the lines move. The food trucks themselves control that.

3. Some trucks will run out of food. This can happen while you're waiting in line.

4. Expect to experience 1 - 2 trucks. If you get to experience more, yay!

5. Think tailgating: if you want to sit down while in line or while eating, bring a chair. Some folks also bring tables or eat in their car/truck. 

6. Some trucks do take credit, but many do not, so bring cash. Ones and fives (not tens and twenties) are VERY welcome by the vendors.
